ONLINE THERAPY — CBT & ACT VIA TELEHEALTH
A Happier, Healthier You
Getting the therapy you need shouldn't depend on where you live or whether you can commute to an office. At the Performance Institute for CBT, we offer the same evidence-based individual therapy we provide in person — delivered through secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions you can attend from home, work, or anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
WHERE WE CAN SEE YOU
Dr. Michael Jacobs is licensed to provide telehealth therapy to clients in:
• New York
• Connecticut
• New Jersey
• 36 additional states via PSYPACT (including FL, TX, IL, OH, PA, WA, CO and more)
Brooke Dairman, LMSW is available via telehealth in Connecticut.
HOW TELEHEALTH WORKS
You will receive a secure link before each session. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone and a private space where you can speak freely. Sessions are conducted using HIPAA-compliant video software, so your privacy is fully protected.
IS ONLINE THERAPY AS EFFECTIVE AS IN-PERSON THERAPY?
Yes. Multiple rigorous studies have found that CBT and ACT delivered via telehealth produce outcomes equivalent to in-person treatment for anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, and other conditions. Many clients actually find it easier to practice skills in their real-world environments when therapy is integrated into their daily routines.
WHO IS A GOOD FIT FOR TELEHEALTH?
Online therapy is particularly well-suited for:
• Clients outside New York City or Fairfield County, CT who want access to specialized CBT treatment
• Performing artists with irregular schedules who need flexible appointment times
• Clients who travel frequently and need continuity of care
• Anyone who simply prefers the convenience of working from home
